My plans for the new year 2012

Well recently i have been doing some serious thinking towards some of the things that i would like to achieve in my life, I would like to better myself in so many ways, so i have decided to do something about it starting on the 1st of january 2012.

I am going to become a full time musician, Music has always been a big thing for me ever since i was growing up and i love it because its always there and its always used everyday and it always will be, music is the key to most things because if you haven't got music you haven't got anything, and people in this generation love an entertainer and that also comes with being a musician you need to know how to entertain your audience

I curently own a standard acoustic guitar thats worth around £80 and i originally bought it off a cousin of myne because she never used it after she got it given to her as a present so i decided i would buy it as it was just sitting around somewhere in a corner of a room not being used, shame really because its a good guitar so i bought it.

I currently need to buy a new set of acoustic strings due to the fact that two strings snapped because of a momentary lapse of concentration so therefor they snapped because i tightened them up to hard because i wanted everything to sound perfect.

I have experience on percussion as i once used to have Drum lessons and i loved them very much, you can let so much out on a set of drums its just amazing, and there are alot of things you can do on a drum kit aswell so if you are in to your beats and rhythms then the drums are worth trying.

But now i want to take things to the next level, Because i want to learn chords on the guitar and i want to make my own music and perform music that all of us know today such as Bon Jovi guns n roses pink floyd etc, i want to get a fender strat and learn that also, i want to master solos and entertain people in pubs and get good positive feedback that i can take back with me and look at and see what i can improve on, but most of all to have that satisfaction of knowing i made people happy that night and that they loved it, but to do that i am going to need to practice and to practice you need to stick at music full time because its no good practicing for an hour a day if you want to become good at anything you need to put in the hours because then they pay off.

I am going to practice the guitar for around 5 hours a day and learn lots of new things, every day i will set myself a new lesson and a new theme of music to focus on, but my main theme of music is of course rock and roll because that is my passion.

Once things have started to make sense to me and work out i will record myself playing and i will post them on to youtube so if anyone here in the future would like to listen to the things i have done you will be able to do so.

A friend once sent me a link to a video and i watched this video, the video was about achieving your goals in life and that if you want something bad this is how you do it, you dont take breaks you dont sleep you dont eat because this is going to slow you down, and if you want to suceed as much as you want to breathe the air you breath then you will suceed in what you want to suceed in, obviously you eat but what he is trying to make out to people is that if you want it as bad as you want to live then you will only suceed.

Well this is my new years resolution and i cant wate for it, im going to advertise for a band some time in the new year also cant wate for that, hope you all have a lovely new year anyway and thanks for reading this if you got all the way to this part of my new years resolution.

nice man, i can tell that your gonna be a great musicien by your dedication. i started from a classic guitar learning by myself to electric guitar playing heavy metal. it's all about if your dedicated to it or not, gl with your goal tho your gonna do great.

haha, thanks, i own a highway one fender and an epiphone faded which is bassicly a semi acoustic/eletric play it for pretty normal songs (not metal/rock)

I have an Epiphone Custom Bass with cherry wood fret board. I personally play Bass covers for FFDP and i'm trying to learn guitar. Drums will come with time Smile

Oh sweet, I like some bass myself especially slap due to the funk it produces, are you in a band or something then nate?

My little brother and I play together. He plays drums/guitar, I play bass/guitar, but no i'm not in a band. We just smoke and play together

yeah sounds good, so its just like a hobbie then for you both to meet up and chill talk and relax, man i miss them days of being in school where it was similar to that we would go back to a friends and chill and just enjoy a good jam session but then i moved away and things changed :s
